Policy AED 986 establishes absolute asset sovereignty over all Ionity (Pty) Ltd intellectual property, hardware designs, software code, integration schematics, and trade secrets. It governs all work relations with a zero-share default and requires explicit consent for any disclosure.
All hardware (SBC, MCU, and related components) remains the property of Ionity (Pty) Ltd. Software deployed on these devices is lease-based via company or industry subscriptions. Repairs and maintenance are restricted to Ionity or explicitly authorized partners.
The BY-NC-SA 4.0 license applies strictly to content explicitly designated as shareable, such as select open-source scripts. This license is always overruled by Policy AED 986 for all industrial core work, proprietary systems, and trade secrets.
Ionity maintains the Right of Removal — the authority to auto-deactivate, purge, or reclaim hardware and data assets immediately. In "Alarm Principle" scenarios, emergency script purge is triggered. A $1/KB penalty applies to unauthorized data leaks.
Enterprise protection is available through our Custom Enterprise subscription tier starting at $630/50GB. This includes custom policy and license configurations, certificate and secure shell setups for up to 4 devices, and dedicated data encryption. Contact us for a tailored solution.
